Injury Report
Oklahoma City Thunder are dealing with a mounting injury crisis. Chet Holmgren will miss at least 8-10 weeks after a small patellar tendon tear, joining Jalen Williams (fractured fibula/ankle reconstruction) and Cason Wallace (torn labrum surgery) on the shelf. Alex Caruso (ankle sprain) remains out as well, leaving the Thunder extremely thin heading into Monday's game in Cleveland.
Several other notable injury updates emerged Sunday. Gui Santos of Golden State will miss Monday against Phoenix after exiting Sunday's win over the Clippers with a knee injury. Jalen Johnson is questionable for Atlanta's Monday game in Indiana after spraining his left ankle late in Saturday's loss to New Orleans, with Kingston Flemings also unavailable due to a one-game suspension for an intentional elbow. Jakob Poeltl missed Sunday's game with a shoulder injury, with Trayce Jackson-Davis stepping into the starting lineup for Toronto.
On the positive side, several players have been cleared: Rudy Gobert, LeBron James, Dejounte Murray, Fred VanVleet and Ty Jerome have all been removed from the injury report.
Heading into Monday's slate, key questionable designations include Kyrie Irving (knee management, Dallas), Joel Embiid (right foot, Philadelphia), Clint Capela (ankle, Houston) and Peyton Watson (hamstring, Cleveland). Trey Murphy III is probable for New Orleans against Memphis's 6-0 Grizzlies.
Standout Performances
Luka Doncic put on a show Sunday in Los Angeles, dropping 45 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in the Lakers' 131-125 win over Toronto. Doncic also knocked down eight or more three-pointers in the performance, a dominant all-around effort that headlined the night.
Kris Dunn had a standout defensive outing for the Clippers despite the loss to Golden State, recording 7 steals to go along with 12 points and 4 assists in the 124-112 defeat.
