Injury Report
The biggest news out of the injury report is Jayson Tatum, who is out for Saturday's Game 7 against the Cavaliers after sustaining an injury during Game 6 on Thursday. It's a massive blow for Boston, which blew a 3-1 series lead and now faces elimination without its best player. Jaylen Brown will step into the lead offensive role, with Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, and Baylor Scheierman all expected to take on expanded responsibilities.
Anthony Edwards remains out for the Timberwolves with a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee, suffered during Game 4 against the Nuggets on April 25. Minnesota opens its Western Conference Semifinals series against San Antonio on Monday, and Edwards is unlikely to be available early in that series. Ayo Dosunmu, who missed Game 6 with a calf injury, is now listed as questionable for Game 1 against the Spurs. Donte DiVincenzo is already out for the rest of the playoffs with an Achilles injury, leaving Jaden McDaniels, Terrence Shannon, Bones Hyland, and Jaylen Clark to carry the load.
Brandon Ingram is listed as doubtful and expected to miss the final two games of his series due to a right heel injury. Toronto's Jamal Shead should remain in the starting lineup, and role players including Ja'Kobe Walter, Jamison Battle, and A.J. Lawson will need to provide additional scoring in Ingram's absence.
Franz Wagner is out and will miss the final three games of his series with a right calf strain. Anthony Black and Jamal Cain will continue in extended roles for Orlando. Elsewhere, Giannis Antetokounmpo remains out with a knee injury, and Bam Adebayo is listed out with a back issue. Joel Embiid and Paul George have both been removed from the injury report.
