Injury Report
Kyrie Irving is now listed as probable and appears on track to return for Opening Night after missing the entire 2025-26 season due to a torn ACL in his left knee suffered in March 2025. The 34-year-old point guard has participated in pickup games this summer and has had ample recovery time, though a minutes restriction early in the season remains a possibility. Irving averaged 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists across 50 games in 2024-25 before going down.
Tyrese Haliburton is also now listed as probable as he works his way back from an Achilles tear he suffered during Indiana's Game 7 Finals loss to the Thunder. The 26-year-old resumed 5-on-5 work in early April and described himself as feeling like a "healthy NBA player" in late June. Given the severity of the injury, he may still face a gradual ramp-up to start the year. Haliburton averaged 18.6 points and 9.2 assists over 73 regular-season games in 2024-25.
Jaren Jackson Jr. has been downgraded to questionable as he recovers from knee surgery performed after appearing in just three games for Utah following his midseason trade from Memphis. The 2022-23 Defensive Player of the Year will be counted on heavily by a Jazz team looking to contend for a playoff spot, particularly with Walker Kessler no longer in the frontcourt.
Immanuel Quickley is now listed as probable after dealing with a strained hamstring late last season. The 27-year-old is entering a new-look Toronto lineup that is expected to include Kawhi Leonard, which should ease his offensive responsibilities. Quickley set career highs in starts (70) and assists (5.9 per game) in 2024-25.
Nate Bittle has been downgraded to questionable with a lower leg issue, and rookie Alex Toohey is newly listed as questionable with a knee concern. Both situations will be worth monitoring as training camp gets underway.
